The Lion Has Roared
Romans 8:19 NKJV
“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”
There is a sound upon the earth; the sound of the creation groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God. Nations, tribes and peoples are yearning for their deliverance and redemption to be accomplished by the sons of God, through the power of the Gospel of the Kingdom. The end is near, and everything that our Lord Jesus Christ predicted is happening.
Matthew 24:6-8 NKJV
“[6] And you will hear of wars and rumour of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [7] For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Indeed, the creation is groaning in travail on all levels and in all areas and spheres; some of the effects of this travail have been touted as “global warming.” There is darkness and gross darkness upon the earth, as evil, wickedness, wars, perversity, immorality, corruption, sickness and diseases increase.
However, there is only one thing that would bring the turmoil and travail of the creation to an end….
Matthew 24:14 NKJV
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
It is time, therefore, for the Church, the mature sons of God in Christ, to arise and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to every nation, tribe and tongue! ( Galatians 3:26-28 )
THE LION HAS ROARED!
Amos 3:8
“A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?”
There is also another sound on the earth; it is a sound from heaven. There is a roar from the Lord, the Lion of Judah, to awaken His sons to return to Him. Many who have been dormant or silent are hearing the sound and are being stirred up to return to their first love for Jesus. Those who know who they are in Christ and their assignment on the earth must hear the sound and rise up.
Hosea 11:10 NKJV
“They shall walk after the LORD. He will roar like a lion. When He roars, then His sons shall come trembling from the west.”
GO DEEPER IN PRAYER
There is a mandate on our ministry to prepare the Bride for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. ( Revelation 19:7-8 ). The Father is calling on us to come up higher and “Behold Jesus Christ,” to unravel the mystery of not just who we are in Christ, but who Christ is in us. This revelation will empower us to pursue the Great Commission in a dynamic way. The Holy Spirit is actively at work to bring the Church to this understanding.
The Father is also revealing the urgency of the time and the need for us to strip ourselves of the weights and presumptuous sins that easily beset us. We are to surrender to the Holy Spirit so that we can behold Jesus Christ, and get better acquainted with the Father, so that He can use us for His glory. ( Isaiah 6:1-8; Hebrews 12:1-2 ).
The Holy Spirit gave us three clear instructions on how we can achieve this… Go deeper in WORSHIP, go deeper in PRAYER and go deeper in the WORD of God.
We have spent the past few weeks and months going deeper in worship and the Word of God. For the next few weeks, we shall focus our series of devotionals on the final instruction – Going Deeper in Prayer.
