| “Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.” Daniel 7:14 NKJV
Behold Christ in a world filled with doubts, uncertainties, disappointments, and competing voices. The Holy Spirit is calling the church back to its central focus: Behold Jesus Christ. To behold Jesus Christ is more than to look at Him with our physical eyes. It is to fix our hearts upon Him, bask in His glory, recognise His supremacy, follow His example, and allow His life to be revealed through us.
The greatest need of the Church today is a desperate revelation of Jesus Christ. When we truly behold Him, our hearts are transformed, our faith is strengthened, and our lives become testimonies of His grace and power. Our calling is to behold Him, know Him, love Him, and obey Him, and make Him known to the nations.
The more deeply we understand what Christ has done for us, the more faithfully we live for Him. This is because He is the perfect example of faithfulness. Jesus was faithful to His assignment; His Father gave Him to fulfil, and He did not abandon His mission. When it became difficult, He continued in obedience.
We are taught that commitment is not only measured by how we begin but also by how we continue. God has entrusted responsibilities to us. Churches, ministries, families, and nations need to be reached; lives need to be discipled; leaders need to be called; and divine assignments need to be fulfilled. Hence, we need to behold Christ’s humility, compassion, holiness, forgiveness, and obedience. Our eyes will remain fixed on Jesus, and our hearts will remain burning for Him. |
