Lessons From Moses’ Tabernacle (15)
Psalm 15:1 TPT
“Lord, who dares to dwell with you? Who presumes the privilege of being close to you, living next to you in your shining place of glory? Who are those who daily dwell in the life of the Holy Spirit?”
THE TRUE WORSHIPPER
Although God is a consuming fire, holy and dwells in mystery, He is not inapproachable! His greatest desire is that we would know Him and walk with Him in deep and sweet fellowship.
He said to Abram, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless, and I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly” ( Genesis 17:1-2 ). This is the essence of true worship.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 NLT
“[23] This is what the LORD says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. [24] But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the LORD who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the LORD, have spoken!”
A LIFESTYLE OF SANCTIFICATION
Through Moses’ Tabernacle, God has taught us how we can become true worshippers by learning to approach and walk with Him in a manner acceptable to Him.
From the Brazen Altar and the Brazen Laver, we have learned that to be true worshippers, sin must first be dealt with, because God hates sin. To deal with sin, God provided His own Lamb, His Son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! We have died to sin, have been buried with Christ in baptism, and resurrected in Him to new life.
We have also learned that true worship is a lifestyle that begins and continues with our sanctification – being set aside as a holy priesthood to God.
Relationship And Fellowship
From the Holy Place, we have learned that the true worshipper is a priest, whose lifestyle is focused on fellowship and relationship with God, and service to Him. For us believers, this is a relationship where God is not only our God, He is also our Father. Through the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus taught us to approach God as our Father, most holy and revered.
As true worshippers, our relationship with the Father is fortified and strengthened through fellowship. Our fellowship with Him must include the following:
1. The Word of God – Reading and studying the word of God and living in obedience to it; allowing the word to be formed in us, and to change and transform us to be more like Jesus. ( John 1:14 )
2. The Holy Spirit: Developing our relationship and fellowship with the Father through the in-dwelling Holy Spirit, helping us to overcome the flesh, and revealing the nature and character of Christ Jesus to us and through us, making us more Christ-like.
3. Prayer: Fellowshipping with the Father through prayer. The Lord’s Prayer shows us the things we can talk to the Father about. However, because prayer is a dialogue, we must also learn to listen to His voice and allow Him to lead and guide us.
THE CHRIST-LIKE MAN
From the Most Holy Place, we have learned that the veil has been torn and we have been given access to the presence of God, the Most Holy Place in heaven where Jesus Christ, dwells as the Ark and Mercy Seat of God. What an awesome grace we have been given, as priests of God, to come before Him, by faith, not just to visit but, in Christ, to dwell in the secret place and holy tabernacle of God!
Hebrews 10:19-20 NLT
“[19] And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. [20] By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.”
Abiding in this elevated place by faith, we join in Christ’s intercession and become mediators between God and men. It is in this elevated position that our intercession becomes effective, and we gain results, because we are praying according to the will of God.
May the Father grant us the grace to press on in our walk with Him, to develop a love for Jesus Christ through the Word and Holy Spirit, to enjoy spending time with Him in prayer – talking to Him, singing and praising and worshipping Him, and to become the shining light and love of Christ to those around us who still walk in darkness.

“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.”
Psalm 141:2 TPT
“Let my prayer be as the evening sacrifice that burns like fragrant incense, rising as my offering to you as I lift up my hands in surrendered worship!”
