21 DAYS OF PRESSING TOWARDS THE GOAL (1)

21 DAYS OF PRESSING TOWARDS THE GOAL (1)

DAY 1: A Time Of Consecration

Philippians 3:12-14 ESV
“[12] Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. [13] Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, [14] I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

These words by Apostle Paul cause me to pause, at least once a year, to reflect on my journey with the Lord, and set my heart to press on in prayer and align and realign myself to His plans and purposes for my life. The target is not earthly perfection or status, but a deeper fellowship with Jesus Christ, spiritual maturity, and the heavenly reward.

Therefore, for the next 21 Days, I invite you to join me in “pressing on towards the goal, that we may obtain the prize, which is God’s call through Christ Jesus to the life above.” It will be a time of reflection, scripture reading, consecration and prayer. You may accompany this with fasting if you so desire.

Today’s Scripture Readings: Philippians 3:12-20; Hebrews 4:14-16; Hebrews 10:19-25; 1 John 5:14-15

PRAYER POINTS:

Philippians 3:12 AMP
“Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect, but I actively press on so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own.”

1. Praise, worship and thank the Lord for this opportunity to wait on Him.  Thank God for His promise to answer our prayers.

2. Pray and ask the Father to cleanse and purify you from every sin, disobedience and act of unrighteousness, with the Blood of Jesus

3. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to consecrate yourself (set yourself apart) to God. Rededicate your life to Him and ask Him to bring you to the place of deeper surrender.

4. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh. Ask Him to make His presence known afresh to you, and to help you to become more sensitive to His voice and leading, especially, during these days of waiting on the Lord.

5. Pray for an open heaven over your life and everyone taking part in these prayers. Ask the Father for angelic assistance; to strengthen us and release His blessings on us all. (Matthew 4:11; Luke 24:42-43; John 1:50-51; Psalm 103:20-21)

CONFESSION AND DECLARATION:

The Bible assures me that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God; therefore, I hold firmly to my faith in God and His word. I do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with my weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as I am, yet without sin. Therefore I come boldly to the throne of grace, that I may receive mercy and find grace to help in this time of need.

I am confident that God hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him. And since I know that He hears us when we make our requests, I also know that He will give me everything I ask for over these 21 days of “pressing on towards the goal.” In Jesus’ name! AMEN!!

Fulfilling Our Theme For 2026: “BEHOLD JESUS CHRIST”

“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” [Revelation 19:11-16]
